No dogs, please. Pheasants are preserved in many of the woods, and in any case some owners do not allow dogs.

Please do not publicly advertise these meetings, but friends are welcome. Outreach surveys for conservation groups are publicised by them for their members. To avoid problems with unanticipated public access to sites, or possible Covid restrictions, the website version of this Programme does not contain the map references. It would be helpful if potential FSO attendees could also contact the Secretary beforehand.

If you are interested in joining one of our surveys but are not yet a member contact us by email, guests welcome.

National Fungus Day (2020)
In the absence of live events in 2020 FSO collaborated with Harcourt Arboretum to film our president, Richard Fortey, giving a general fungi talk for National Fungus Day at the arboretum. This can be accessed via this link.

We hope that this talk will inform and inspire everyone to look for fascinating fungi on all your walks
